We have just arrived back in India to celebrate 2014 New Years with our spiritual master, Narayani Amma after an incredible, busy and inspiring time in Thailand. Starting with a kirtan at Wild Rose Yoga in the cold and peaceful town Chiang Mai, a week of sharing mantra and sound yoga in the stunning Samahita Retreat in Koh Samui with Paul Dallaghan, and then sharing some original love songs for Jo's brothers wedding in Bangkok!
Also in this time, our Pozible crowd-funding campaign came to an end, and we are speechless with the continuing support, genorisity and beautiful comments from our community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making the new albums become a reality! We are so excited to share with you the birth of our new babies (in album form that is!). And these babies are as much yours as they are ours :)
We have recently launched our music and yoga charity called A SOUND LIFE (www.asoundlife.org), a dream we have had for a while to unite all the different service projects we are involved with. Our main aim is to connect the underprivileged, disabled and the sick with the extraordinary powers of music and yoga to inspire, heal, educate and empower at no cost to the recipients. And we thought a fun way to launch would be to enter into a surf competition, in India! Which is also a charity event to support this great initiative thanks to Earthsync and Surfing Covelong Point, Tamil Nadu, which has had huge impact on the kids in the surrounding fishing villages by engaging them in a positive and healthy activity and away from getting caught up in the downward spiral of alcohol and drugs. Check out the funny video we made here.
"The chants are performed capturing the essence of their original Sanskrit form mixed with a few English verses, all of which flow through the audio as divine sounds of the universe. Jo, (the female of the duo) sings like an angel. A voice that flutters the heart strings and warms the soul. This angelic tone flows through the bones like a gentle whisper of the wind. Edo, (the male of the duo) brings a folky-bloke element comprising of deep resonate tones to his voice which vibrate compassionately through as mantras. His voice is honest and has a Bob Dylan quality to it that really blends their style of music as a modern Kirtan sound." Read more...
