Our Bhakti World Tour commenced in March with a great trip to Bali for the Bali Spirit Festival in Ubud. We connected with such inspiring yogis (be sure to experience yoga with Simon Low and Les Leventhal) and incredible musicians and felt a beautiful expansion to our family of sacred globe trotters who travel the earth to share their hearts and passions for awakening within.
We had the joy of spending time connecting and chanting with Karnamrita Dasi who has a luminous voice, depth and devotion. We played with the amazingly divine duo Jayalakshmi and Ananda and their Kirtronica. If you have not heard of these sacred musicians, listen to their music!
Thanks to your support the new albums are near completion! We are doing the final mixes in the studio in Sydney this Easter after an amazing and intense time recording in India.
Our album campaign has also been about giving back to the community. We have started to fulfill our pledge commitments and will continue to do so throughout the year.
Thanks to your support, our impact so far:
We have two special events coming up: The Harmonic Experience collaborating with the amazing Anastasia Williams to bring you a unique experience of movement, mantra, meditation and music at Paddington Church. Also that weekend is our final kirtan for the tour in Australia this month in the newly launched InYoga Studio in Surry Hills. More info here.
We have recently launched a music and yoga charity called A SOUND LIFE (www.asoundlife.org), a dream we have had for a while to unite all the different service projects we are involved with. A Sound Life is a charity sharing the healing and creative power of music and yoga with those in need as a free service. We harness the skills of musicians, yoga teachers and kind-hearted people who are passionate about giving back to our community to uplift the spirits and enrich the lives of those in need. We are looking for volunteer musicians, yogis and kind-hearted people. More info here.
"The chants are performed capturing the essence of their original Sanskrit form mixed with a few English verses, all of which flow through the audio as divine sounds of the universe. Jo, (the female of the duo) sings like an angel. A voice that flutters the heart strings and warms the soul. This angelic tone flows through the bones like a gentle whisper of the wind. Edo, (the male of the duo) brings a folky-bloke element comprising of deep resonate tones to his voice which vibrate compassionately through as mantras. His voice is honest and has a Bob Dylan quality to it that really blends their style of music as a modern Kirtan sound." Read more...
